The aim of the QUALIFI Level 3 Diploma in Law is to provide learners with an introduction to law and the legal system as well as key academic, research, and communication skills to support learners in their development.
This qualification is intended to support your progression to higher education; the basic skills, learning and understanding that you will gain would be of use in various job roles in a legal firm, such as legal secretary or administrator etc.

University Progression
On completion of this course, students will have the opportunity to apply for admission onto a full BA degree programme from a range of UK universities. Alternatively, students can opt to study our Level 4/5 Extended Diploma in Law and then go on to complete a Law top-up at a range of UK universities.

Am I eligible for this programme?
This course is most suited to individuals who are at least 16 years old, have a high school education and wish to progress onto a degree at university, or the Undergraduate Level 4/5 Extended Diploma in Law.
Level 3 module Listing
The Level 3 Course is made up of 4 modules and 4 written assignments. Each module consists of 40 guided learning hours of material with an additional 30-50 hours worth of optional materials that comprise recommended exercises, recommended readings, Internet resources, and self-testing exercises.
The English Legal System
This module provides a comprehensive overview of the English legal system, including its history, institutions, and sources of law. Learners will learn about the different types of courts, the role of judges and lawyers, and the key principles of English law.
Contract Law
Contract law is a fundamental area of law that governs agreements between individuals and businesses. This module will explore the formation, interpretation, and enforcement of contracts, including key concepts such as offer, acceptance, consideration, and breach of contract.
Legal Terminology and Communication
Effective legal communication is essential for success in the legal profession. This module will introduce learners to legal terminology, legal writing, and legal research. You will develop skills in analyzing legal problems, constructing legal arguments, and presenting legal information clearly and concisely.
Academic and Research Skills for Law
This module will equip learners with the academic and research skills necessary for success in your legal studies. Learners will learn how to conduct legal research, analyze case law and legislation, and write effective legal essays and reports.

Written assignments
The Level 3 Diploma in Law has 4 modules and 4 written assignments. On completion of the modules, students will be given access to the assignments. The assignments are approximately 5,000-8,000 words each. Students are provided support on the modules and assignments via the ‘Tutor’ section of the learning platform.
